Happy Birthday Jessie...

Yesterday I turned 10. My mom is finding it hard to believe as I came to her when I was just 2 1/2 months old. For my birthday I unwrapped a Cookie Monster stuffie, 2 treat sticks, a box of fruit seeds and 2 boxes that I love to chew up. I also had a refreshing birthday shower and blow dry.

I now have 2 fish to entertain me, a Betta and a Danio. You can't really see them in these pictures but I do love to watch them swim. These were taken today right after my mom cleaned their vase.

So you want to see my fish ? Ahh here they are a few weeks ago just after mom brought them home. Originally there were 2 Danios but the smaller one died the next day. Mom took her time choosing the Betta with the nicest fins.

And here is a picture of the vase they are in, this was taken before their was water in it. They now have this fake plant pictured below in their vase, but for 3-4 weeks they had a beautiful live plant, but after a few cleanings it finally bit the dust yesterday. This vase was originally $70 in the store, mom paid $9.

Wow what a fun day for me, the man they call Santa Claus came last night and left presents for me to open, he always brings me such fun stuff. Here are some of the pictures my mommy took today...

Here I am getting on the big guy's good side, for next year you know...

This one was in my stocking with 2 green food dishes...

Here I am opening some movies for mom and grandma...

Another one for me, mom thought I'd be scared of it, yeah right...

And last but not least...

And after all that, they gave me turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots and my favorite cranberry sauce. Mmmm what a fun day! Happy New Year everyone!

What a dirty beak...

Sometimes in the mornings I wake up looking like this from chewing my rope perch and doing other things, and I need moms help washing my beak. I guess she doesn't want to kiss me looking like this, so she wets my wash cloth with warm water and goes to work massaging my beak until I'm clean and kissable.

I was so busy chewing my toy today, I didn't even notice when mom called me for lunch, she put it in my dish and walked away! I was loving it!

Well I am hard at work on my new rope perch, it will be just the way I like it soon. What do you think of what I've done with is so far ? Pretty good huh!

I sleep on a rope perch at night and I love to chew them so they get worn out after a while, and my old one needed replacing bad! So here is my new one, it is a bit bigger around then I usually have but the store was sold out of the smaller ones, so it will have to do for now!

I love it, I love it, I love it! For years I would not touch it, I thought my mom was trying to trick me into eating something healthy. Well a few months ago I decided to try it and guess what, now I LOVE it! My mom leaves the end for me and I enjoy every bite!

Just for a little while. Normally I am a really good flier, but this last 2 weeks I have had several accidents and 1 was quite serious. And so I have almost given my mum a heart attack a few times.

So today I took off, something spooked me, I won't tell you what it was and mom doesn't know so don't ask her. So my mom held up my wings said how pretty they were, there were no blood feathers at all so she got out the scissors, sat me on her lap and trimmed 5 flight feathers on each wing. I was such a good boy.

Mom usually just gives me a little piece but she thought it would be funny if I could hold a big one, well guess what I can. It was so yummy too!

Bath time...

Some of my feathers were dirty, so after mommy cleaned me up she let me have a bath. I guess I needed it, my beak was dirty too. I sure love my baths so I hopped right in. After my bath she blow dried me.

I'm all clean now and I think I am going to hit mom up for a nice beak rub before supper and maybe a wing rub after supper. If I give her some kisses she'll be up for anything.

on my mom's new organization cubes, some of them have little shelves and right now they are empty. Like I said before I love exploring her shelves. Why does she need stuff on them anyways she could just give them to me.

I hope you like my new blog, my mom decided this will be much easier for updating my loyal fans, here are a few pictures of me taken today. Mom put me on her jewelry box and I didn't like it so I kept flying to the top of her head until she opened the drawer. If you don't know me yet then you won't know that I LOVE to look in drawers, cupboards and play on shelves.
